コース内容: This program occurs in Benedictine University and the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) have joined together to offer students a chance to take advantage of the strengths of both schools, while earning a bachelor of science or bachelor of arts degree from Benedictine and a bachelor of science degree in engineering from IIT. In this program, students take humanities, social science, basic sciences and math courses at Benedictine University in Lisle, while taking engineering courses at IIT's downtown Chicago campus. Upon graduation in five years, the student is awarded an engineering degree from IIT and a Bachelor of Arts degree in engineering science or a bachelor of science in computer science (in conjunction with the computer engineering program) from Benedictine University.

入学条件: Students must have completed the high school curriculum with four units of English (emphasizing written and oral communication and literature); two units of modern language; three units of social studies (emphasizing history and government), mathematics (introductory through advanced algebra, geometry, trigonometry or fundamentals of computer programming) and science (laboratory science). They must possess a cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.0 and a score of 21 on ACT and 990 on SAT. International students whose native language is not in English should have the TOEFL with a tests score of 550 or above on paper-based, 213 or above on computer-based or 79 or above on internet-based.

願書について: Applicants are required to complete the application form along with the non refundable application fee of $40 payable by personal check or money order. In addition to these, they must submit photocopy of their passport, translated official transcripts from high school/colleges/universities previously attended, official ECE evaluation report of all home country transcripts, and general analysis report from freshman students, personal statement, two letters of reference, official results of standardized tests (ACT, SAT or TOEFL), certificate of finances, international student health form and proof of student health insurance. Benedictine University was founded in 1887 in Chicago as St. Procopius College and relocated to Lisle in 1901. The university were renamed Illinois Benedictine College in 1971. In response to community needs, they added graduate, doctorate and adult learner programs. They became Benedictine University in 1996. Today, the University remains committed to providing a high-quality, catholic, liberal arts education for men and women. Benedictine University ranks 37th among more than 140 schools classified as Best Universities - Master’s in the Midwest, according to the 2008 figures recently released by U.S. News and World Report. 滞在施設について：: Benedictine University maintains and operates residence halls as an integral part of academic life, as educational experiences are not solely contained in the classroom, laboratory or library. The residence halls provide an opportunity for students to combine academic life with social development. Students must establish and test their own values, develop social skills, determine priorities and learn to organize their time. Living on campus affords many opportunities, including the chance to make new friends and enjoy a variety of campus activities. Students who live on campus also have easier access to the library, classrooms, dining and athletic facilities, and avoid soaring gas prices and increasingly time-consuming commutes. Ondrak Hall, located on the south end of campus, is an all-female, predominately freshman smoke free hall that houses up to 160 students. Jaeger Hall is an all-male predominately freshman smoke free hall that houses up to 150 students on four floors. Neuzil Hall, an upper-classmen coeducational smoke free residency facility, is located at the northern end of campus. The hall features 44 suite-style rooms each housing three students. All the residential halls are provided with a computer lab with Internet access and a printer on the first floor and a relaxing lounge and entertainment center on the second floor. Free laundry facilities are located on the lower level and each room offers cable, phone and Internet access. All residence halls have ID card readers requiring students to swipe their cards to gain entrance. At Benedictine, dining is all about choice. The Krasa Center Dining Room offers a wide array of fresh and nutritious fare at every meal. Diners can choose from sizzling, made-to-order dishes, pizzas hot from the oven or grilled specialty sandwiches with a side of crisp fries. Flexible meal plans give students the opportunity to choose the meals that fit their schedules.
