University is a good place and I recommend this university to all students.GRE and TOEFL are required admission into this university. I prepared on my own for these exams. Admission and visa guidance was given by my consultant. Visa is required to study in US. I attended visa interview in the consulate and the interview was easy. I got my tickets easily. I came through Indian Airlines. They offered me student concession. Excess baggage was not allowed. I did not face any immigration issues at the airport.University does offer assistantships and scholarships to students.Management information systems is one program which has both the management topics and information technology related topics. This Program is well structured which covers all the latest topics. This program, has all the important concepts of computer is one of the best programs offered by the university. Professors were good. Lecture halls are big. There is International Center which helps students for their accommodation and other visa issues. International Students can easily get part time jobs. Placement cell helps students in placements. International students can get job easily once they complete their masters.

UT Austin is good for Business and Economic courses. It has a good reputation. My Aunt stays in Austin, so this was a g...reat choice for me. I will be staying with her during the course of my studies.Jamboree was very helpful in getting me the scores in TOEFL. They also helped with the application process.I have not got any scholarship, yet. It is a public institution and its a bit difficult to get the scholarships. But I hear that there are opportunities to look for one in the second year. There are pretty good job opportunities here. Economics graduates get good pay. Personally I would like to get myself a job after my bachelors program and then after some time go in for higher studies, I may also consider trying for a transfer to the business line.

The advice I would give is the academic scenario here is very competitive and you must study hard to suceed....>I had to write exams, I wrote the SAT and TOEFL. I prepared on my own using books and preparation guides. I did not attend coaching classes. I did use the facilities at the USIEF and which was helpful. I needed a VISA, the interview was very easy it took not more than a minute, all basic questions and about financing the education etc. It was easy to get the tickets to my destination. I travelled by United Airlines, it was okay, student fare was offered. I landed in Washington DC it is very far from the destination. Did not face much problems with the immigration.Financial assistance not there few assistantships offered and scholarships.Happy with the program and the professors, some professors good, research driven than teaching you will find a mix of both. Lecture halls are modern. Library collection is the biggest in the United States.I have stayed both on campus and off campus. On campus better than off campus accommodation, but you should not be very choosy about the food, then it would suit you. Good sports facilities available. Part time job very competitive. Social scene is very good it is very alive as around 50000 students in the college. Weather is similar to that in Delhi. Several international student societies are active. Biggest population of Indians. Cultural events are frequently held.Placement cells for all departments. Relatively easy placements, but depends largely on the economic condition. There are campus placements. Companies come and hire the people depending on their merits and all students get a chance at getting placed not just the best students. All major companies come for the placements. There is an active alumni network the alumni society is called Texas exes. The alumni society is active and does help.

Have fun when you come along here studying!I had to take the SAT. I took classes to prepare for the exam. I... didnt need a counselor. VISA was not needed since I am an US Citizen. It was quite easy to get tickets. The international airports which are mostly used are 3 or 7 hours away. No immigration issues.Scholarships for international students are very limited.Mine was a well structured program. Professors were receptive as well as knowledgeable. The library was very helpful!I lived off campus in an apartment with friends. Sports facilities are at par with any other institution in the US, if not better. Campus jobs are fairly abundant. Social scene and nightlife are good. There are many student organizations like Indian Students Association etc. They handle community problems plus host cultural events and organize social gatherings.Very good career services placements. Cannot really say about the job prospects for international students. Career services are in place for every department. They cater especially for the requirement of their individual departments. There is a very active alumni society. They help in providing jobs and capital to the Institution.

Give it your best once you make it through to the college be it in studies or sports!I took the SAT, with... slight preparation. I used books available at the library & bought a couple. Didnt really attend any coaching classes. Didnt use any educational counselor. I did not need a visa. Air tickets are readily available. Dont remember much about the baggage rules. Most of the airlines offered student discounts. The airport is 15-20 mins away from the Institution. Immigration N/A. Havent heard of Meet and Greet being offered by the university.Numerous scholarships/tuition waiver options are available. It is a good institution. I loved the program. It was great. Enjoyed my experience thoroughly. Lecture halls are fine.Have lived both on-campus as well as off-campus. Each has its own charm. Preferred the off-campus apartment more though. The Institution has awesome sports facilities. Jobs are easy to find. Social scene is good. Nightlife is happening.Good career services. The jobs are not so easy to come by. The placement cell helps students in finding jobs as well as structuring their program to match the industry requirement. They also aid students in preparing for graduate school. There is an Alumni society. Very active. They help a lot with placements & endowments.
