My overall experience was amazingly good over this entire period of my study. There were a lot of Indians at my university so Indian students will not feel homesick at all.I had to appear for the GMAT after completion of my graduation. I was preparing at Achiever's Point In New delhi for 1+ year. My center head as my counselor who helped me with all my Updates of applications. My letters of recommendations were also greatly sponsored by my coaching institute. The program has been very well organized and planned to keep up with the interest of the students. The professors are well updated and impart the best of their knowledge. The academic facilities are up to the mark with a good and maintained library. The related help is often offered by the concerned teachers. And the students here are active, involved, and eager to learn.I am living presently in an on- campus accommodation in a double-occupancy dormitory-style room and working part time at a coffee bar.

I am very grateful for the chance to study MBA at Boston University. This is one of the very good universities which of...fer 100% scholarship.I am currently working in a company in Haryana. Visa is confirmed by this month. Job prospects are quite difficult now but I heard that this will be changed in future. Jamboree is a very good consultant and has been useful to me at a great extent. Initially I was not aware of any process but now I am aware of all.The course structure is good. I hope this will help me to fulfill my ambition in the future.

I have taken up MS in Public Health at Boston. I had contacted a number of friends who are studying abroad and heard ve...ry good reports about the program offered at Boston. Generally the duration of the masters public health program is two years, but at Boston it is only for one and a half years. We can save a lot on time and money that way, especially for international students.I had applied to 7 institutions in the US and got an admit from 6 of them. I narrowed down my choice to two universities: the University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey and Boston. I favour Boston as the growth opportunities at Boston are more. I have got my I 20 and I am waiting for my visa. The program is well structured and the great thing is that the university is attached to the Dental Institute. From my masters it is easy to go on to a DDS program at the Dental Institute. My educational consultants were Wisdom Art. They helped me with the application process and the paper work.I was awarded a $10,000 scholarship from Boston and that I think is pretty good as it is the highest they award incoming international students.Boston is a student town, the life for students, especially international students is pretty good.

I would advise anyone planning to come to America for graduate study to apprise themselves of the academic system and a...lso to be prepared for a strenuous work load. Undergraduates need not worry too much; life is relatively easier for them in America than it is in India. The only exams I gave were the standardized tests like GRE and TOEFL and I prepared for them on my own with the help of guides like Princeton Review, Barrons and Kaplan. I attended no coaching classes and hired no counsellors to assist me with the application process. I did need a visa and the interview seemed to me more of a formality than anything else, everything was easy and convenient besides the actual waiting time at the consulate. Getting tickets to Boston was not a hassle at all - it is a major city and many airlines fly to it. I flew Continental Airlines which I hated because of bad service, bad food, uncomfortable seats and very limited baggage allowance even for students. The Boston Logan International Airport is a 25-30 minute drive from Boston University. There was no meet and greet service offered by BU for arriving students and I faced no immigration issues. The university does not offer too much financial aid to international students but we are offered assistantships and jobs.I am very pleased with the educational system there. The professors are the top in my field and internationally known so that helps my case. The lecture halls are great as are the 4 full libraries and many other college libraries we have on campus.I am living off-campus in an apartment building. Our university is also renowned for the fitness, recreation and sports facilities it offers and our teams have won national laurels. It is relatively easy to get a part-time job on campus but following the 9/11 disaster, international students are not allowed to work off-campus. Many still manage to though. The social scene in Boston is great as it is primarily a student town so we have a very active nightlife; there are countless restaurants, pubs and clubs to choose from. Boston University has a very helpful international students society that takes care of many orientation sessions for new students at the beginning of the semester and other events on adjusting in America throughout the academic session. My university has no formal placement cell but if professors are impressed with a certain student and he/she has taken out the time to network, that can always help them land a job interview, if not a job. It was easier for an international student to get a job, but not after the recession took over. Hopefully, that should get back to normal soon. There are career fairs and networking events held regularly by the university career services, which may or may not be attended by other universities/colleges. There is an alumni society too and they are also of help during the placement process, provided the student has taken the time and effort to network. I do not how easy/difficult the work permit authorization process is since I have not yet started applying for one.
