I finished my MS in CS from the University of Alabama at Huntsville. The course fit into my background and my area of specialization quite well. Before I got here I contacted a lot of seniors there to know more about the university and I got a very positive response about it. Studying abroad has been a great experience!

I applied to 5 universities and got admits in all. Western Michigan Uni, North Dakota State, Uni of Alabama and Uni of Maryland at Eastern Shore (I applied to this just like that) were the others. UAH was my first choice. I had to give the usual GRE and TOEFL. I had 300 in my verbal but 730 in Quant. I knew had a low verbal score in my GRE. But I don't think that low verbal score affected me in my career, as in computer science universities lay more stress on quantitative and analytical part and I had decent score on them. I remember the Visa officer joking that even Chinese students usually get a higher a verbal score that mine!! I had an AGRE of 4/6 and 230 in TOEFL. My overall acads at the time of applying was 67% with 94% in the last semester.

I did not get funding.

The course is designed in such a way that it develops knowledge of the functions and techniques of CS. With all these the university has got state of the art computing facilities, creative and learning work environment and highly qualified, experienced and resourceful faculty. Also the university is home to cutting edge technology and a great CS department.
