I basically wanted to enhance my career prospects by taking up a degree in the States. On communicating with a few of my seniors and surfing I selected Cornell to do my Masters. I had a great time and wish all the future students the very best.

The fact that I was working at Mahindra British Telecom Ltd, a software company, and that I'd got a sabbatical leave from the company impressed the VO...they want to be sure that you'd get back to India after your prog. On the whole the interview was pretty easy.

I utilised my family funds for my education-did not avail of any scholarship.

The program was research oriented and application-driven and involved a mix of applied mathematics, numerical analysis, and computer science. The faculty were also the best. I got a lot out of this course in terms of knowledge and application.

With the booming industry in the field of computers, finding a good job wont be an issue...in India or abroad.
