The main reason why I selected the US for my higher studies was that my sister and brother were already there. The fact that George Mason has such a good reputation was the icing on the cake!! We have very good facilities at the university and a very conducive learning atmosphere.

A GRE of 1120/1600 and TOEFL of 92/120 got me the desired admission here. I got the student F-1 visa to get in here. I took the suggestions of my sister and brother, who were already in US to get here. I flew to Washington and my brother received me. College is just 1 hr drive from the airport. Immigration was very cool. Air India through which I came here offered the student fare and extra baggage convenience.

You can get assistantship or scholarship, but not atleast in the first sem.

The course structure and the curriculum are very good. The reputation of the college and the exceptional facilities here made me feel so good of the university.

You can find on campus jobs in a month or two, if you work hard. There are a lot of international students, and they are well connected. They have many networking gatherings going on. Social scene is pretty good with good weathers too.

I dont know if the college has any placement cell, but from what I see, it is not that tough to find a job after graduating from here, atleast in my concentration (major). Alumni society is reliable in this aspect. Even faculty helps you a lot, if you have a close relation with them.
