On completing my Masters in Electrical Electronics and Communication, specialising in DSP, I had ample scope to continue with my research. I also had admits from the Univ of Kansas Larence and Utah State Univ, but selected Texas because this univ was rated among the top ten univs for research in electrical dept in Texas. A really great place to be if ur interested in research.

My visa interview went on fine...no problems. If u've got all ur docs in order and are clear about the course and university the interview is not a big deal. Please read up about the university before the interview. All the best.

I was awarded an assistantship based on my research interests and academic profile. This gave me a good fee waiver. The remaining amount was taken care of by my father.

The learning environment at Texas is excellent. The labs and libraries were equipped with all the latest. The faculty were also quite helpful.

Good opportunities to continue in the field of research.
