The MIS program is awesome. We have some of the best profs around. But, if you are looking for having fun, Stillwater is not the place. Its a very small univ town. But a nice place for academia. Oklahoma university is cheap and good.

GRE and TOEFL are mandatory. Scores above 1100 in GRE would fetch you an admit but 1200 is required to stand a good chance of an assistantship. Applied on my own. I had to attend the Visa interview. This was really simple. Tickets are not a problem. Oklahoma City is the nearest airport about 65 miles from Stillwater. Flew with Jet Airways. Comfortable and nominal. Jet allows 3 baggages for students. Immigration was at Newark and went on really smooth. The university offers a greeter service for international students.

Assistantships are available if you have a good profile.

MIS program is awesome. Have some of the best profs around. Actually the program is not as simple as people generally speak.

Live at the university apts. They are pretty good nominal. Possibly the best option. Better than off-campus housing. The facilities are awesome. Nothing to complain about. Recreation facility is supposed to be one of the top 5 in the country and the stuff is good. Suggest people having financial constraints to look at this univ because it’s a pretty good institute for MIS. The weather is not too bad. Summers are hot like India and winters are cold but not as cold as place up North. But, have chilly winds blowing all the time during winter. Unpredictable weather. Spring and Summer are bad. Have sunshine one moment and thunderstorms the next. Tornados are a possibility.

There are career fairs organized by the university. People do get jobs but you can’t depend on the univ to get u one. You need to go in search of it. Since Stillwater is a small town, it’s not the ideal place for finding a job. Bigger cities are better but the univ is good in terms of education and funding.
