The University of California, Los Angeles is a public research university and a member of the Association of American Universities. Founded in 1919 it has a current enrollment of around 27,000 undergraduates and 11,500 graduates. The university offers its study programs through the UCLA College of Letters and Science, Professional Schools—which include the schools of Law, public affairs and theater—and Health Sciences Programs that spans the schools of dentistry, nursing and public health.
